Core Functions

The Tuvalu High Commissions’ Core Function include, but is not limited to the following: 

  • Maintaining and strengthening diplomatic relations with New Zealand, as well as other Countries that have become Tuvalu’s partners. 
  • Update/report back to the Government of Tuvalu on political, social and economic events or issues in New Zealand relevant to the interests of the Government.
  • Promote Tuvalu’s unique culture and traditions to other Diplomatic Missions/Countries, within New Zealand or outside.
