NEW PASSPORTS

Adults (above 18 years of age)

Are you an adult and need to renew your expired passport? Below are the requirements per applicant: 

  1. Complete signed copy of the application form (download this form from the FORMS Tab)
  2. A Recent Passport Photo (You can send us a clear soft copy of your passport photo and a payment of $20 for this should be made to this account: Pese Prints 01-1844-0056228-51. Please state the name of the person the photo belongs to in the reference for payment, and send us your payment confirmation together with other requirements. This is payment to print your physical photos in Tuvalu. For your passport photo, we encourage that you get one taken with Tataua if you are in Auckland. Otherwise, you can take a clear picture with your phone and send it through to us. Scanned copies of printed photos printed at professional services is unnecessary and from experience, are usually unclear and blurry. Please note that the following requirements must be met for your passport photos; the background of your photo is white, there are no shadows visible in the photo, no t-shirts or vests, no visible earrings, no necklaces, no jackets or any additional accessories). It is encouraged that men wear Bula shirt (or similar) for such photo.  
  3. Scanned bio data page of your expired passport. 
  4. On a white A4 sheet with 4 or more of your signatures.
  5. Payment of fee in to our office account (put your name as reference) and send us your payment confirmation. There are two types of fees for passport processing: 
  • Urgent fee of $180 NZD (takes up to 3 working days for passport processing. This passport processing period will commence as soon as we receive all required documents. Please note this does not include the period it will take to get the passport over to New Zealand, and over to you) 
  • Normal Fee of $90 NZD (takes up to 14 working days for passport processing. This passport processing period will commence as soon as we receive all required documents. Please note that the period is exclusive of postage period, or getting the passport over to NZ and over to you). 

You can convey all the requirements to our office via email. There is no need to physically post these documents to us. 

Please note that should one of the above requirements not be met, your application is deemed incomplete and will not be conveyed to Tuvalu for processing.

  2. Signed Consent letter (download this form from the FORMS Tab)
  3. A Recent Passport Photo (You can send us a clear soft copy of your passport photo and a payment of $20 for this should be made to this account: Pese Prints 01-1844-0056228-51. Please state the name of the person the photo belongs to in the reference for payment, and send us your payment confirmation together with other requirements.   5. On a white A4 sheet with 4 or more of your signatures (if child can write, otherwise, this is not needed)
  6. Payment of fee in to our office account (put your name as reference) and send us your payment confirmation. There are two types of fees for passport processing: 
  • Urgent fee of $120 NZD (takes up to 3 working days for passport processing. This passport processing period will commence as soon as we receive all required documents. Please note this does not include the period it will take to get the passport over to New Zealand, and over to you)

Please note that if you have lost your passport (expired or otherwise) and do not have a copy of your bio data page with you, you are required to obtain a police confirmation/report stating that your passport has been lost. Immigration in Tuvalu will not process your application for a new passport, without such document if you had lost your passport. 

Also, if you lost your passport and it is still valid, you will incur an additional cost of $180 NZD ($160 AUD) as a penalty fee. Payment can be made to our office account and payment confirmation sent to us. 

In the event that your passport has a spelling error or states incorrect information, you incur no costs if this was the fault of the Department responsible. Please note that important personal details in your passport is solely based on those in your Birth Certificate or expired passport. Anything in accordance with the documents will not be regarded as the fault of the responsible department, but your own, and any error as a result, costs involved will be borne by you. Therefore, ensure that your Birth Certificate provided states all the correct information.

Contact our office if your passport information is incorrect so that we can make arrangements to correct it at the earliest possible time.
