PASSPORT EXTENSIONS

Explanation of the graph above
We can extend your expired passport only if you have not extended it previously, and you hold a passport with a passport number beginning with TO*****. If you hold a passport with a passport number beginning with OT*****, you are not not eligible for a passport extension and therefore need to obtain a new Tuvaluan passport. If you hold a passport beginning with TO, and you were below 18 years of age when the passport was processed, you are ineligible for a passport extension and therefore need a new passport (process explained in passports tab)

Requirements for passport extension
If you are eligible for to extend your passport, we require the following:

  • Filled extension of passport application form (download this form from the FORMS Tab)
  • Post us your physical expired passport (for stamping)
  • Make a payment of $25 into our bank account and send us your payment confirmation.

You can send other documents (except the passport) to us via email, and/or you can post it to us together with your passport. If you require us to return your extended passport to you via postage, you need to inform us of your address, make an additional payment of $12 in to our office account (put your name as reference) and send us payment confirmation of the postage fee.

You can also pay for a return postage when you post your passport to us, which would enable us to return your passport to the same address once it has been extended. If this is the case, then you don’t have to pay the $12 postage fee into our account.

Please note that failure to convey all the requirements will result in an incomplete application and cannot be dealt with further until all requirements are received.
