In this section, you will find the services provided by the High Commission of Tuvalu to Tuvaluans living in New Zealand or abroad . They include notary and migratory services.
Funafuti, the capital of Tuvalu is the only port of entry/exit designated by the Government for all international flights and sea freighters arriving and departing Tuvalu. There are requirements in order for the appropriate visas be granted to travellers to Tuvalu which include work permits, visitor’s visa and so forth. All of the Tuvalu Missions abroad are being charged with the same responsibility in facilitating requests for all consular matters and therefore services available in the High Commission covers passport renewals, issuance of emergency travel documents, applying for notarial documents provided by the Government of Tuvalu and may assist with legal matters involving Tuvalu nationals living in New Zealand.

The following notary services are provided by the Tuvalu High Commission in Wellington:
- Birth / Death certificates from Tuvalu – a request form is available online where all the required information must be filled by the applicant.
The cost for obtaining a birth certificate is $15.00 - Police report – A request form must be filed by the applicant which is also available online. Please note that police report could only be obtained for the certain period that the applicant was in Tuvalu. Cost of Police Report is $15.00
- Marriage certificate – a request form must be filled with all the necessary details. Marriage certificate fee is $15.00
- Legislation and certification of documents – original documents issued in New Zealand must be taken to competent authorities in order to be certified as true and valid copies before submitting to the High Commission. The office could also certify copies of documents issued by the government of Tuvlau and other legal documents in the presence of authentic original documents
